Located between Tarbes and Lourdes is the great little airport serving the Haute-Pyrenees and more predominantly Lourdes during the Pilgrimage Season.

Lourdes is worth a visit regardless of your religious persuasion, or not.  It is in a beautiful location, surrounded by forest, lakes, rivers, and the High Pyrenees.  As there is so much accommodation, it is possible to find somewhere to stay for all budgets.

It is also not a bad area to look for your new home.   Property prices are reasonable compared to other towns locally and there is always something going on.

Within 40 minutes, you can be skiing and in 1h45 minutes, on the Atlantic coast enjoying the beach.  We spent 12 years living in the Centre of Lourdes owning both a hotel and bar.

It’s a bit different but don’t be put off by the religious connotations. The town itself is busy all year round and really is the gateway to fantastic villages and mountain scenery.  More to come on our dedicated Lourdes Blog!

The airport is served by Bus Route T7 which takes you to Tarbes City Railway Station. From there, take bus route Line TL which will then take you to Lourdes. Neither of these buses run on Sundays or Bank Holidays.

During winter 2023/24, a direct bus to Lourdes will be meeting Volotea, Ryanair and Easyjet and will be €3 one way. It will stop at Lourdes Railway Station and Avenue du Paradis.

Upon reservation, it is possible to continue to Pyreneean ski resorts.
